Retail Roundup: Fall Trend Report

Vintage bohemian, ornamental brocade, carpeted tribal, and abstracted floral prints are not just on the runway, they are making big appearances in retail!

The vintage boho look is made up of ethnic medallions, mixed florals, collaged patchwork and paisleys. Any bohemian layered print will give you that perfect easy going fall style.

The abstract floral trend includes, big silhouettes, a pop art style, tattoo like foliage, and some conceptual camouflage.  Each print is unique with bold impactful style.

Texture adds an extra pop of dimension to the intricate line work of these carpeted tribal patterns. Stacked prints are layered to perfection with unique geometry and harmonious color stories.

Ornamental brocade is always a classic look and is dominating our favorite retail stores this season. With bold outlined decoration and small ornate line work, these ornate designs are perfect for the upcoming holiday season.

September Vogue

The new September issue of Vogue is not only bursting with Beyonce beauty but features some inspirational fall prints from many of our favorite designers.

Chloe's floral chiffon gown has a bold sophistication accenting some intricate tattooed floral silhouettes.

Missoni is playing up its geo tribal with its zigzag hatched teal and black and white linear embellishments.

This Valentino embroidered floral dress has a folky pop art approach to fall.

Another fabulous design for Chloe is this velvet patchwork dress. Made up of tiny floral designs, paisleys, and blocks of colors this ensemble is ready for autumn season.

Valentino was featured again with this beautifully printed chiffon dress. The print consists of some abstract textural motifs and small geometric line work mixed with delicate lace.

Etro's patchwork dress is stunning with its geo medallion, purple accented paisleys, and floral motifs.

When it comes to style, these glossy pages never lie!

Prints in the Pages

This season we have put a lot of focus on trends such as vintage bohemian, ornamental brocade, carpeted tribal, and abstracted floral prints, all of which can be spotted amongst our favorite worldly publications. Here are some selected ads and editorials from this years September issues that support our fall trend forecast and inspired us while designing our collection.

Kate Moss's spread for Etro's Fall/Winter 2015-2016 campaign photographed by Mario Testino, is made up of intricate patchwork designs. This bohemian but edgy ensemble provides an impressive palette and punch for their fall collection.

This ad is filled with decorative medallions, William Morris - esque florals and some daring geo prints. A bold mix of prints is extremely trendy for fall and both shots helped inspire some of our patchwork designs and earthy color stories this season.

Anabel Krasnotsvetova photographed by Michelangelo di Battista in Harper’s Bazaar Japan September 2015 issue is seen wearing Burberry Prorsum's Fall 2015 ready wear. The print has Indian inspired mosaic motifs adding an interesting composition to this boho look.

Also sporting Burberry Prorsum's Fall collection is Sabrina Ioffreda in "Artist in Residence" by Will Davidson for Glamour US September 2015.  This accented patchwork trend with its interesting layouts and mix of decorative floral motifs make this victorian carpet look shine.

This is "Traveller's Tales for Marie Claire UK September 2015, model Josefien Rodermans photographed by David Roemer.  Rodermans is featured wearing Etro's rusty red patchwork dress featuring some of our favorite fall colors.

In this look Rodermans is wearing Lanvin 2015 Fall/winter collection.  This layered folky dress is packed with some abstracted folk florals in reds, browns, and rusts giving off a feminine nomadic look for fall.

Graphic Girls

Here are some new mood boards inspiring our graphic tees for fall!

Continuing summers dreamcatcher graphics with a more bohemian attitude this girl is hip, edgy and all about the feathers. Mixing these free spirited motifs with other graphic trends of the season help to keep her in style and forever stuck in an indian summer.

Stenciled, soft flowers are accompanied by inky line work. This board represents a girl with a trendy, beautiful, avant-guard, and feminine style. Add aspirational typography over these delicate florals for a more flirtatious take on this blooming trend.

Our celestial goddess incorporates soft florals, lacy stars and graphic moons into her look.  Wearing stars as necklaces and giving off this mysterious persona, this stellar lady adds sophistication to this fall trend. These astrological graphics may look familiar from seasons past but are making a comeback this year in a more feminine diffused light.

This board represents the girl with the cutting-edge personality and a worldly outlook. Large placed medallions and boho borders in a monotone palette and ornate patterns make up this powerful trend. This center show piece is sure to be a big bold look this fall, a must have for your favorite tees.

With a touch of wanderlust, our southwest girl lives a nomadic lifestyle and is quick to express her self. Using colorful Navaho designs, tribal bird motifs, adventurous sayings, and quirky arrow graphics she is ready to get out into the world and explore!
