Primary Focus

Reds, blues, and yellows take the spotlight as designers take color inspiration from the three primary colors. Using asymmetric details, harmonious hues, geometric prints, and chromatic values, these Custo Barcelona, ICB, Tome, and Carolina Herrera looks provide a new approach to a familiar palette.

Sweet Views and Soft Hues

Pastels are a great way to soften any look while also adding an element of warmth. This spring, we are taking a look at how designers mix pastels and prints!

Cynthia Rowley, Peter Pilotto (both above), Audra and Ports 1961 (shown below) introduce delicate motifs in mint, peach, yellow and lilac.  Using white both as the ground and accent color for various line work, geometric patterns and dainty florals add a sweet touch to feminine silhouettes.

Rich Earth Tones

Rich earth tones create an airy and effortless mood as Oscar de la Renta, Brooks Brothers, Johanna Ortiz, and Alice and Olivia combine shades of cream and beige with statement florals. Elements of sea green, moss and emerald green to add a refreshing approach to foliage prints.

Florals and Colorful Contrast

Today we're looking at color inspiration for the spring!

Soft pastels mixed with eccentric colors provide a fun and fresh approach to making bold statements through color. MSGM and Peter Pilotto both show how the same color palette can be transformed through color blocking and florals.

Tory Burch, Zimmerman and Rag and Bone add warmth to their prints with pops of yellow. They  continue with color blocking and florals while mixing unexpected touches of green, orange, magenta and blues.
