Resort 2016: Trend Recap

Our inspiration boards for Resort 2016 includes 5 fun trends for the transitional season. The print trends include large abstract florals, optical animal prints, earthy bohos, bright damasks, and trendy tribals.

These bright abstract floral prints are perfect for keeping cool on that spontaneous get away. Our board features collections by Jonathan Saunders, Marc Jacobs, Nicole Miller, Milly, Antonio Marras, Cédric Charlier, and Antonio Marras' contemporary collection I'M Isola Marras. These florals have a soft complexion but pack a bright punch of color and design. 

The animal prints featured on this board are designs by Giambattista Valli's Giamba collection and Issa. Both of these animal inspired print collections have an edgy optical effect. A common theme is clean two tone patterns with a pop of lime. 

This always hip bohemian look features Louis Vuitton, Alice + Olivia, Alberta Ferretti,  Sea, M Missoni, and Anna Sui. Continuing our favorite spring 70's inspired trend, these rampageous prints are updated for the upcoming season with a darker, cooler palette. We love the layout and design of this eclectic look.

 Escada, Clover Canyon, Yigal Azrouël, Alice + Olivia, Naeem Khan, and See by Chloé used the ever so classic damask to brighten up their collections. Each design features that interesting pop of both pattern and color.  These mirrored repeats add style and sophistication to any look. 

Finally the tribal stylings of Altuzarra, Burberry Prorsum, No. 21, House of Holland, Hervé Léger by Max Azria, Naeem Khan and Valentino. These trendy tribals add layers of pattern and a bit of edge to every season.

Shades of Denim

Check out these shades of denim in our spring 2016 prints.  From indigo to chambray this cool blue look is perfect for that relaxed summer day. For a more polished look opt for our porcelain blue palette. This summer classic adds just the right amount of pop to your favorite pair of jeans.

This season we are loving these spicy reds, citrus oranges, and refreshingly juicy pinks. These tangy hues are just the right amount of pop to complement our summer ethnic patterns!

Black & White

 No matter the occasion or season, you can't go wrong with classic black & white! This polished combination adds a degree of sophistication to any pattern and will never go out of style. We used this palette to elevate our intricate paisley designs, bold tribal prints and graphic texture patterns. By not over complicating our color story, the pure beauty of the design shines brighter than ever!

Tropical Basics

As summer begins to heat up so should your wardrobe! Tropical patterns are hotter than ever this season and they aren't just reserved for your next island getaway. Nature loving women are embracing these hotter than nature prints in their everyday looks. Natural green palm prints, graphic black and white leaf patterns as well as blue and white exotic foliage help bring the Tiki Bar to the city streets. So lets get you feeling like you are on the beach in paradise with this new summer basic!

Ikat

Ikat is the perfect summer print to beat the winter blues.  This seasons easy to wear "It" print is slightly tribal, but could be cousin of the chevron or tie- dye.  We used bright hues and classic black & white to transform this ethnic textile into an everyday summer staple.

Graphic Prints

Here are some of our summer junior graphic print inspiration boards!!

This board represents the the free spirited girl who is always ready for an adventure. Butterflies, dream catchers, daisies, and 60s inspired graphics helps this cool bohemian girl express herself in a fun and organic way. It's all about Peace, Love, and Happiness!

This board is for the Rock & Roll Princess who likes an edgy look that still has a touch of femininity. Skull motifs mixed with delicate florals and a soft color palette help to create that girly rocker look that is sure to break some hearts.  

Our wolf trend board is for the fearless girl who isn't afraid to take a fashion risk. She is an animal lover at heart, with a tough girl vibe. Realistic wolf motifs mixed with flowers and texture help bring this graphic trend to life!
