Trend Report Runway SS19

With NYFW over we are beginning to see some exciting trends.
Below are a few of our favorites.

Every culture has a rich history on textiles and we’re seeing this brought to the runway in an curious and contemporary way. So far we’ve seen Etro, Alice and Olivia, Osman and Mary Katrantzou play with Global Embellishments. Their use of metallics, placement prints, and fun embroideries are inspiring.

We’re also seeing designers take a whimsical approach. Miu Miu, Libertine, Whit, Tibi and Dior are a few who’ve included these fun prints into their newest collections. We love how detailed and free-spirited each print is.

Within florals we've been seeing a romantic prairie theme. Zac Posen, Rebecca taylor, Markus Lupfer, and Adam Lippes use of delicate florals is dreamy.

Bold basics are some of our favorites. Designers Carolina Herrera, Boss, and Prabal Gurung use bold and colorful stripes to bring their prints alive. This is one trend we hope to keep on seeing!

Keep a look out these next couple of weeks, we have a few more trends coming your way!

Trend Report: Blocks of Color

We are getting inspired by the color palettes of spring!

The Zero + Maria Cornejo spring collection is filled with bright shades of yellow, cobalt and navy with some accents of metallic silver and golds.

Bright pinks, electric oranges, bold blues and neon yellows add an interesting vibrance and youthful flare to Christopher Kane spring collection.

Soft yellow stripes and blocks of pinstripe add interest to this sophisticated palette of neutral, navy and gray for the Guy Laroche collection.

A Crayola box of glowing pinks and purples mixed with brilliant blues and reds make up these large painterly blocked prints in the Libertine collection.

Osman used bold shades of blue, yellow and red-orange to make these oversized ikat prints stand out on the runway.
