Here are six inspiring trends for the up coming autumn season!
Ornamental Brocade:
These classic decorative brocade prints have an interesting modernized look. M Missoni, Antonio Marras, Giamba, Simone Rocha, Alice + Olovia and Dolce & Gabbana featured two color damask patterns on their runways.
Vintage Bohemian:
Burberry, Clover Canyon, Tory Burch, Anna Sui, and Etro have been rocking the bohemian folk style. This trend combines patchwork, ethnic medallions, mixed geos, stripes, paisleys, earthy colors, and mixed scale graphics. These intricate patterns have a lot going on but still compliment a laid back lifestyle.
Earthy Texture:
The raw look is in this fall with abstract earthy textures. The designs of Libertine, Erdem, Faith Connexion, Sachin & Babi, Vera Wang, and Prabal Gurang bring a natural sophistication to their prints. The mix of graphic rock minerals, line hatching, and corroded earthy surfaces add an interesting palette to the fall season.
Abstracted Floral:
Neil Barrett, Diane Von Furstenberg, Rodebjer, Tanya Taylor, Blumarine, and Samuiji are all designing with a unique floral motive in mind. The abstract floral includes, big silhouettes, gestural line work, and a pop art approach. The colors and designs blend together nicely creating a floral camouflage.
Conceptual Skins:
These abstract animal skins were featured by designers like Issa, M Missoni, Versace, and Lanvin in Resort and Fall runway collections. The fur like prints combine varying skin texture, abstract motifs, flat areas of color, and small geometric graphics. A different visual and colorful approach to this naturally designed textile.
Carpeted Tribal:
These carpeted tribals prints include designs from Tadashi Shoji, Tory Burch, Burberry, Givenchy, Barbra Bui, and Andrew Gn. The repetitive tapestry motifs add texture and depth to these fall prints. When you're putting on your warmer layers, think of these ornate layered patterns and palettes.
