Graphic Prep
Graphic prep is all about the clean, sharp cut of color, while enhancing body shape through color blocking. In this trend we find an order of lines and geometrical shapes, often derived from tribal shapes that celebrate primary colors. Designers indulging in the harmony of colorful line balance include Delpozo, DVF and Armani.
Modern Simplicity
Black, white, neutrals and a minimalistic layout of these colors is what best describes this trend. Simple lines, squares, rectangles and semi organic shapes, often mimicking brush strokes and gradient transitions are explored in a variety of ways. Issey Miyake, Rochas and Stella Mcartney, are all playing with lines, neutrals, grey color transitions, and are creating movement through line weight difference.
Winter Prairie
Winter Prairie brings the traditional floral prints in the season, by giving them a watercolor look, soft borders and subtle colors. Sweet pastels embrace wine and blush tones, creating pleasant floral prints. Folky florals on dark background reminisce the soil. This trend tends to stick to a very elegant and feminine feeling as seen in the Fall collections of Rebecca Taylor, Valentino and Coach.
Jungle Clash
Taking typical animal prints to a different level, Jungle Clash distorts, mixes and fits animal print in geometrical shapes. Tree bark prints, camouflage, snake skin, zebra lines and leopard skin are distorted, or combined with one another.
