3 Trends Not to Miss This Fall

Hyper Floral

For this trend, floral motifs return in bright and neon colors. Usage of brush stroke effects creates the illusion of hand painted fabric. It is a chaotic, yet balanced mix of animated floral, watercolor and blurred bright lights. Expressive florals can be seen in collections of Gucci, MGSM, Altuzarra, Prabal and more.

Pattern Clash
This season, patterns are explored in a playful manner. Layering Patterns, experimenting with different motifs combinations, with some patterns transitioning from geometrical to organic florals. A confusion of color and shape, with expressive and dynamic colors. Dries Van Noten, Off White, Giambattista Valli, are crushing and mixing patterns, changing colors and creating transitions through shape.

Eastern Influence
The trend takes inspiration from Arabesque decor elements, traditional oriental motifs and all the colorful intricate design elements. Burgundy, reds, oranges and blues are all beautifully laid out in a specific pattern to reveal a bigger picture. Designers like Rosie Assoulin, Erdem and Etro are incorporating tapestry elements, arabesques with a modern twist.
